DoomEd - Still the Real Thing... 

 
DoomEd allows you to quickly and easily build your own custom Doom maps. It works with Doom and Doom 2. Download DoomEd

You can download the source code if you wish to modify the program (if you don't know what "source code" is, then you don't need it). You will need Microsoft Visual C 1.5, a 16-bit compiler. DoomEd is NO LONGER UNDER DEVELOPMENT. This means it is a dead program. DON'T ask for help or support, you will be rudely rejected.

DoomEd comes with no documentation, that was lost years ago in a hard drive crash. If you need detailed information on the operation of DoomEd, pick up a copy of Sams "Tricks of the Doom Programming Gurus", at your local bookstore. I do NOT get a royalty on book sales, so that's not what this is about. Here's a hint - try the RIGHT mouse button to add things.

Since some people are apparently humor and hint impaired, let me stress this again: DO NOT CONTACT ME ABOUT DOOMED. YOU are not an exception. The software and source code are provided for free. Nobody owes you anything.

Let me also point something else out. DoomEd is NOT in any way crippled. There is no "save disable", no software I write will EVER do this annoying crap. If you have a program called DoomEd that is save disabled, then it is not mine. It may be DoomED from "Renegade Graphics". I am not in any way associated with that "product" or company.
